When the Pilot’s Residence recently became vacant a group of local artists took the opportunity to claim the space and work towards developing it into an art gallery.
We’re excited to tell you that our dreams quickly turned into reality and the South West Rocks Community Art Gallery has already hosted two exhibitions this year!
The Pilot’s Residence is the ideal exhibition space for artists from up and down the Mid North Coast creating a great opportunity for South West Rocks to complement the Macleay Valley Community Art gallery in Gladstone, which has exhibitions booked as far ahead as 2024.
It is our intention to rapidly have a similar number of artist bookings thereby becoming part of an Art Trail that adds value to both communities.
