Rita and Kim are friends with a common interest in art and all things Italian.
The tarantella is a whirling, vigorous and joyful Italian dance and we hope you experience some sense of this joy and energy in the works of these two artists.
Rita enjoys nothing more than capturing the essence of a summer's day at the beach in Oz through the interplay of figures and the beachscape.
She is also an accomplished landscape, still life and miniature artist who likes her paintings to tell a story.
Kim expresses her response to a scene through the dynamic use of colour and composition.
Her aim is not to capture the detail of what is there but rather the mood or feeling evoked.
The colours can be warm and vibrant or more muted and contemplative.
Subjects from her travels in Oz and overseas are favourites.
