Following a fabulous weekend workshop in 2025, where artists explored abstraction through various exercises using just black and white, the Fibre Artists Network (FAN) has created an exhibition of Black and White works.
Each exhibitor has interpreted the theme through the lens of her individual artistic identity, expressed in her preferred fibre art practice.
Artists were presented with the challenge of creating pieces using one or more of four seaside images as inspiration.
The Fibre Artists Network (FAN) membership extends from Coffs Harbour to Laurieton. The four images represent the coastal environment in which many FAN members live and work.
Each exhibitor has interpreted the images in her own unique way, reflecting her personal identity as an artist.
